In collaboration with a senior sculpting class at USask, the Office of Sustainability is proud to present ART*Cycled, an innovative art project that transforms waste into works of art. In January, our team visited the Saskatoon Regional Waste Management Center, where we collected a full van of discarded materials — everything from scrap metal to forgotten furniture. These items, once destined for the landfill, were brought back to campus to be reimagined and repurposed by talented student artists. As part of SDG Month, these unique sculptures will be displayed in the North Concourse from March 3rd-7th, showcasing the power of creativity and sustainable thinking. The week will culminate in a special art exhibit, celebrating both the artistic vision of our students and the importance of waste reduction and circular design. Join us to experience how discarded materials can find new life through art, and be inspired to think differently about waste and sustainability!
