How might SWRC support and increase composting operations in the whole province (both urban and rural)? The group created a solution that eliminates barriers some may face when deciding to compost with an app that makes the task easier. EcoCycler alows you to scan the item and confirm whether the item is compostable, and provide compost locations. The app also includes incentives like collecting points and being able to redeem those points at local depots to purchase related goods. . The group was excellent in focusing on a specific problem, and bringing together existing tools in a new way to support and eliminate barriers to the issue.

How might SWRC support and increase composting operations in the whole province (both urban and rural)? The group's solution involved creating an app that focuses on bringing the composting community together and coordinates food waste transportation. The app, One Waste, solves problems related to food waste, connects wate producers with composting facilities, helps promote composting and connects waste producers with their neighbors who connect. The judges really liked the fact that One Waste fosters community engagement and bonding.

How might we implement a free-to-use transit system in Saskatoon? The group provided insightful data which effiecently helped in pitching their solution. Part of their solution included a suggestion to increase meter and residental parking fees and also increase ads on transit to help fund the "free-to-use" transit system. Additionally, the group encourages the creation of an improved bus terminal that includes kiosks, shops and shelter. The judges appreciated the cost analysis and innovative funding approaches provided by the group.
